Overview
The Eaton Crouse-Hinds CTB404020 is an explosion-proof stainless steel (SS316L) junction box designed for use in hazardous areas where flammable gases, vapors, and combustible dust may be present. Built to international ATEX and IECEx standards, this junction box delivers outstanding corrosion resistance, structural integrity, and long service life in the most demanding industrial environments including oil & gas, petrochemical, marine, offshore, and chemical processing.
Featuring a robust 316L stainless steel body with a gasketed lid and stainless steel fasteners, the CTB404020 provides excellent protection against dust ingress and water jets (IP66). The lid is secured by a captive bolt locking system and includes an earth bonding point for safe grounding. Inside, the enclosure accommodates a mounting plate for terminal blocks and DIN rails, making it ideal for field junction, marshalling, and control applications.
